June 7, 2023 — We are pleased to announce a collaboration between Official League, a innovative lifestyle apparel company, and the Appalachian League, affectionately known as the "Appy League." Since its inception in 1911, it has been a cradle for future baseball stars, giving them a platform to hone their skills and showcase their talent. 

For the first time, the creative designs of The Official League will merge with the rich tradition of the Appalachian League cities and teams, resulting in a limited, exclusive collection of 100 jackets and hats. This carefully curated collection will redefine standards of style and team passion.

One of the most exciting aspects of the new Appy League format was the opportunity for each team to rebrand with a name that is tied to the history and identity of the local community. The collaboration with Official League highlights these eight teams in a new, fun way and we look forward to seeing Appy League fans with their new gear this summer,” said Justin Morgenstern, Director of Player Personnel with the Appalachian League. 

This collection is no ordinary assortment of clothing. It is a captivating tapestry woven with the unique histories and geographies of the Appalachian League teams. Each of the teams' individual storylines and their specific geographical elements are thoughtfully embodied in these meticulously crafted jackets and hats - the historic 1882 Elizabethton Covered Bridge, West Virginia’s Christmas City, the birthplace of country music and much more.

This exclusive collection is a celebration of the teams of the Appalachian League, which include the Bluefield Ridge Runners, the Danville Otterbots, the Bristol State Liners, the Elizabethton River Riders, the Greeneville Flyboys, the Johnson City Doughboys, the Kingsport Axmen, and the Princeton WhistlePigs. Each team contributes its unique spirit and dedication to the collection, further enhancing its allure and exclusivity.

About the Appalachian League:

The Appalachian League is a collegiate summer baseball league operating in the Appalachian regions of Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina. As part of Major League Baseball and USA Baseball's Prospect Development Pipeline, it provides a platform for rising freshmen and sophomores to showcase their skills using wooden bats, with a season that runs from June through August.
