The Queens Kings played a single season in 2000 as a Toronto Blue Jays affiliate in the New York-Penn League. Their home was the ballpark at St. John’s University, and their green-and-purple identity gave the club a look that still stands apart.
The Kings finished 46–29 before the franchise moved to Coney Island and became the Brooklyn Cyclones in 2001. Their brief existence connects two boroughs and two chapters of New York baseball. The Vault keeps that one-season Queens identity in view, a reminder that a team does not need decades to leave something worth remembering.
