DETROIT, MICHIGAN — We're proud to unveil the third and final USL Local Legends release of 2026 with the debut of the Iggy Pop x Detroit City FC collection. Bringing together one of Detroit's most influential musicians and one of its most distinctive soccer clubs, the collaboration celebrates a shared hometown through a six-piece collection inspired by music, football, and the punk rock spirit of Detroit. Following our collaborations with Hippo Campus and Minnesota Aurora FC and Warren Haynes and Asheville City SC, Local Legends concludes its first expansion onto the pitch with a collaboration rooted in one of America's most iconic cultural cities.

For more than five decades, Iggy Pop has been deeply connected to Detroit's musical identity. As the frontman of The Stooges, he helped establish a sound and attitude that would influence generations of punk, rock, and alternative music. From his early years performing in Ann Arbor and Detroit to his enduring influence on the city's musical legacy, Iggy Pop represents the raw creativity, independence, and rebellious spirit that have long defined Detroit.

That same spirit can be found in Detroit City FC. Founded around a deep connection to its supporters and the city it represents, Detroit City FC has built a culture that extends far beyond the pitch. The club's passionate supporter base, unmistakable visual identity, and commitment to Detroit have made it one of the city's most recognizable modern sports organizations, creating a natural connection between the club and an artist whose career has been intertwined with the city for generations.

The six-piece collection brings those two worlds together, combining Detroit City FC's visual language with imagery and design elements that have helped define Iggy Pop's legacy. Throughout the collection, classic football silhouettes are reimagined through a distinctly Detroit lens, creating pieces that feel connected to both the club and the city that shaped Iggy Pop.

At the center of the collection is the Street Walking Cheetah Kit, a custom football jersey that brings Iggy Pop's Raw Power visual identity onto the pitch. The design incorporates leopard-inspired detailing on the sleeves, creating a bold expression of the collaboration while referencing one of the most recognizable visual elements associated with Iggy Pop.

The collection's headwear continues that visual story across a range of classic silhouettes. The Golden Leopard Cord pairs a premium corduroy construction with a gold crown, rouge bill, DCFC lettering, and custom leopard artwork, while the Detroit Original Wooly takes a more traditional approach with a deep maroon wool crown, flat gold bill, and collaborative DCFC wordmark. Together, the two styles balance Iggy Pop's unmistakable aesthetic with the vintage sportswear influences that have long been central to our Local Legends series.

The Lightning Satin and Stage Wooly bring another dimension to the collection, drawing inspiration from Iggy Pop's presence on stage and the energy surrounding his performances. The Lightning Satin translates that influence into a statement outerwear piece, while the Stage Wooly is centered on the iconic performances Iggy Pop is known for.

Rounding out the collection, the City Icon Zip Hoodie offers a premium everyday layer into the collaboration, with stand out stitching of Iggy giving an electric performance across the back.
