Inspired by the Carolina Hurricanes’ Black Excellence specialty jerseys worn during Black History Month, the Black Excellence Cord Hat brings the story to fans in a refined, wearable form. Crafted from 100% premium corduroy, the deep black crown reimagines the Hurricanes emblem as a multicolored rose designed by North Carolina–born artist Mike Jones, drawing inspiration from Tupac Shakur’s The Rose That Grew from Concrete. The embroidered rose honors resilience and the idea that greatness can emerge from any environment, on the ice and beyond. A red textured rope traces the bill, leading to a side Canes wordmark in white lettering, paired opposite with a hockey stick flying the hurricane warning flag.
