Allee Willis

Allee Willis was a songwriter and visual artist whose work crossed pop, soul, television, theater, and the internet. She co-wrote Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September” and “Boogie Wonderland,” as well as “I’ll Be There for You,” the theme from Friends. Inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2018, Willis brought the same inventive spirit to her art, collections, and famously elaborate parties as she did to her songs.
