Green Day

Green Day came out of California’s East Bay punk scene before Dookie brought songs such as “Basket Case” and “When I Come Around” to a global audience. Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool paired concise songwriting with a live-wire energy that translated from small clubs to stadiums. American Idiot later expanded that approach into an ambitious album-length story, adding another defining chapter to the band’s career.
