Saves the Day

Saves the Day emerged from New Jersey with Chris Conley’s vivid songwriting at the center of a fast, melodic sound. Through Being Cool became a touchstone for a generation of listeners, while Stay What You Are opened the band’s songs into different arrangements and textures. Across that evolution, Conley’s writing has kept its mix of emotional immediacy, unusual imagery, and melodies that stay with a listener long after the record ends.
