Senses Fail formed in New Jersey in 2002 around vocalist Buddy Nielsen, combining forceful guitars, melodic choruses, and lyrics that confront difficult experiences directly. Their debut album Let It Enfold You introduced songs such as “Buried a Lie” and “Rum Is for Drinking, Not for Burning.” Subsequent records have explored different degrees of heaviness while keeping emotional honesty and the connection of a live show central to the band.
