SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA — Official League has released its first collection with the Sacramento Kings, bringing the character of Sacramento basketball into our signature styles. The five-piece release draws from the team’s regal identity and the expressive lettering of vintage sportswear. At the center of the release is the Courtside Vintage Corduroy Jacket, a statement layer that draws on classic basketball warmups and vintage varsity styling.

The collection gives familiar Kings details room to take on different characters. White script stretches across gray corduroy, purple pinstripes run through a natural cotton crown, and a tan utility shirt puts the lion-and-basketball emblem across the back. Together, the pieces share a clear Sacramento identity while offering distinct ways to wear it.

Bringing corduroy back to basketball

Corduroy’s connection to basketball reaches into the letterman tradition: school jackets worn by players carried athletic letters and team colors beyond the gym. Those jackets became keepsakes, holding onto the memory of a team and the years spent playing for it.

With the Courtside Vintage Corduroy Jacket, we wanted to bring that feeling back. The texture of corduroy gives the piece the familiarity of an old team jacket, while Sacramento’s purple lining and oversized lettering make this version unmistakably Kings.

The jacket sets the tone through its materials. A 100% premium gray corduroy exterior gives the silhouette a rich, visible texture, while the purple satin interior brings the team’s color into the lining. Worn open, that contrast becomes part of the look; fastened, the oversized white Kings script takes the lead.

Purple-and-white striped ribbing frames the collar, cuffs and hem, recalling the athletic layers that have long accompanied the game. The SAC crest at the sleeve and Official League leather label add smaller points of detail around the broad lettering. It is a piece with enough presence to anchor an outfit, whether paired with one of the collection’s hats or worn on its own.

That approach carries into the Sacramento Comfort Crew. White Sacramento script sits across a black cotton body, with purple-and-white ribbing at the neckline, cuffs and hem echoing the jacket. A Kings sleeve emblem completes a familiar sportswear shape that keeps the city’s name front and center.

A workwear approach to Kings basketball

The Royal Guard Utility Shirt offers a different foundation. Its structured tan body, pointed collar and two flap pockets borrow from classic American workwear. Purple Kings script is embroidered at the chest; on the back, Sacramento Kings lettering surrounds the heralding lion-and-basketball emblem alongside an EST. 1985 detail, a reference to the team’s arrival in California’s capital.

The short sleeves and button front make this a layer you can wear open over a tee or buttoned on its own. The two chest pockets give the shirt its practical workwear character, leaving a broad, uninterrupted canvas for the artwork on the back.

That balance is what drew us to the utility shirt for Sacramento. From the front, the embroidery is restrained; turn around, and the Kings crest fills the piece. Worn with denim and the Royal Guard Natural, it offers a different way into the collection from the varsity-inspired jacket and crewneck.

Two headwear designs round out the collection. Script Signature Cord carries raised white Sacramento Kings embroidery on a 100% premium black corduroy crown. Purple piping, a matching rope and top button, and a lion detail at the side bring the color and texture into a smaller format.

Royal Guard Natural takes the collection in a lighter direction, placing the lion-and-basketball emblem on natural cotton with fine purple pinstripes. A black brim and top button define the silhouette, while Sacramento Kings script finishes the back. Alongside the corduroy cap, it gives fans two distinct interpretations of the same team identity.

For our Sacramento debut, we wanted a collection that fans could make their own. The jacket and crewneck take their cues from varsity sportswear; the utility shirt brings in the ease of a workwear layer. Wear the corduroy cap with the jacket to carry that texture through an outfit, or pair the natural pinstripe hat with the tan shirt. Each piece offers a different starting point, with Sacramento at the heart of it.
