PORTLAND, OREGON – Official League welcomes the Lunar New Year with a limited-edition collaboration crafted with the Portland Winterhawks, honoring both the spirit of the 2026 Year of the Fire Horse and the deep-rooted legacy of professional hockey in the Pacific Northwest. This seven-piece premium headwear and outerwear collection draws from decades of Portland hockey history, weaving traditional Lunar New Year symbolism into a stunning new collection.

The legacy of the Portland Buckaroos and the symbolism of the Year of the Fire Horse served as a central inspiration behind this collection. The Buckaroos, who began play in 1928 and became a cornerstone of Portland’s early sports history. With this being the year of the Fire Horse, the connection of those two narratives created a natural design throughline, allowing us to celebrate Lunar New Year tradition while honoring the origins that helped shape hockey culture in Portland.

The Fire Horse Poppy and Crew interpret that inspiration through two distinct silhouettes. The Poppy presents a front-stitched Fire Horse graphic tied to Portland’s early hockey era and the legacy of the Portland Buckaroos, crafted from 100% premium cotton with “Portland” in Simplified Chinese characters across the back and a red and gold Winterhawk on the right side. The Fire Horse Crew translates the same influence into a custom Buckaroo Fire Horse chest emblem, accented by a shimmer-gold Winterhawk on the sleeve and bold ribbing reminiscent of classic hockey sweaters.

The structured Classy silhouette pairs celebratory Lunar New Year tones with refined gold rope detailing along the visor. “Portland” (波特兰) sits prominently in Chinese characters above a shimmering Winterhawks wordmark, with the interplay of texture and metallic accents giving the piece a ceremonial feel.

At the heart of the collection, the Lunar Celebration Premium Hoodie introduces a custom Winterhawks mark intricately layered with traditional floral motifs and flowing linework in auspicious red and gold.
