Lucero

Lucero came together in Memphis in the late 1990s, building songs around Ben Nichols’s weathered voice and a mix of punk urgency, country storytelling, and Southern soul. Records such as Tennessee and That Much Further West helped establish the band’s knack for writing about hard choices and the people left living with them. Years of touring have made their shows a meeting place for listeners who recognize their own stories in the songs.
